Yellow Line Project

Yellow Line Project

Named after the first metro route of Delhi that connected different parts of the city and changed the way people live and commute, Yellow Line Project is a pioneering residency which creates a space for different art forms to collide and interact in order to give rise to new creative processes and push the boundaries of what we know as dance practice today.

YLP invites collaborations between dance practitioners and artists from other disciplines to respond to, confront or dialogue with each other. In doing so it seeks to push dance out of its comfort zone both, in terms of its content as well as the contexts in which it occurs. Emerging from a long-felt need to perforate the otherwise inward-looking world of contemporary dance practice, it compels artists to engage with their city and its inhabitants.
